Samantha Kapner

Sam is the current 4th Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher. She has been a part of the amazing Izzi B community since 2020!

Before coming to Colorado, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology as well as a minor in Flute Music Performance from Vanderbilt University. After graduating she worked as a literacy interventionist and coach in The Mines region of Guyana then designed hands on STEAM enrichment programs for a Science and Art Museum in Rhode Island before coming to Izzi B. She then spent two wonderful years teaching 2nd Grade before joining the 4th Grade team. She has loved finding her community here and being surrounded by people who are so passionate about the success and joy that all students should be receiving!

In her free time you can often find her outside with her dog, Maverick, hiking and exploring in the peaceful and beautiful Colorado mountains!
