Ana Tavarez

ECE Paraeducator

Ana is one of our incredible ECE paraprofessionals. DPS’ From Parents-to-Paraprofessionals program was her inspiration to become a para. She has worked as a para within the District for 7-years; three of them at Izzi B. During her later years of high school, she was routinely entrusted with other people’s children. After trying several jobs, which she didn’t enjoy, she began volunteering to help students read. She received an abundance of praise and felt like she made a positive difference in the students’ lives.

Ana enjoys inspiring our youngest learners to become more independent. She challenges them to think outside the box.

She supports them in a caring manner to build confidence in themselves, and each other. She sees the potential in each student individually. Every dragon learns in their unique way and pace. She believes that building strong rapport with students, parents, and staff is key.
