Kim is a full-time Multilingual Education (MLE) teacher for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The 2023-2024 school year will be Kim’s 9th year at Isabella Bird. Kim began her teaching career in Ft. Lupton before changing to the Adams 12 School District for over ten years. She earned her Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at CU Boulder, and completed her school leadership certification at the University of Denver in the Ritchie program.
Drawn to Isabella Bird for the school’s vision, Kim embraces the on-going opportunity to work with the families in Central Park and the surrounding communities. In addition to teaching for DPS, Kim is also a DPS parent with her son attending a DPS high school. Her dream for the upcoming school year is to build an anti-racist school community where all students feel successful, seen, curious and cared for.
