Skip has taught ECE for 15-years; four of these at Izzi B. He graduated with a Studio Art Degree from Michigan State and was a tattoo artist for a while. Once Skip moved to Colorado, it was as a chef at an Italian Restaurant in the Highlands, where he met his wife and realized he needed a job where he could be home in the evenings/weekends/holidays. He received his teaching license from Metro State University in Denver, and taught at the childcare center on campus. Skip began working within DPS at both Smith Elementary and Ashley Elementary. Two years prior to joining the Izzi B. team, he taught at Graland Country Day School. What Skip loves most about working at Izzi B. is its progressive nature with cool parents and chill teachers, paras and admin. Outside of school, he likes to play guitar/bass/mountain dulcimer. Skip is still a private chef, cooking bi-weekly for a client. His family just got a new member, Saladin The Cat. Skip’s hopes and dreams for the rest of the 2020-21 school year are for full-student participation in remote learning, and that it soon be safe to return to in-person learning.
