This will be Brian’s FIRST year at Isabella Bird, where he will be teaching 4th-grade math. He’s excited to team up with all the new staff and students! Brian loves the opportunities that Izzi B provides for the community to learn, grow, and shine together.
Originally hailing from Iowa and raised on a farm in Nebraska, Brian embarked on his first career as a software engineer for 15 years at IBM in Boulder. However, his passion for teaching led him to return to grad school through the Boettcher Teacher Program, where he earned his MA at DU. Now, he has been sharing his love for math with elementary and middle school students for the past 15 years!
