Jennifer is one of our a Senior Team Leads and mild mod educators. Jennifer graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in Communication before becoming a special education teacher for DPS in 2006. She started her career out as an Affective Needs teacher at West High School and worked as an MI teacher in Montebello before becoming a Multi-Intensive Severe Teacher at Sabin World School. This is Jennifer’s sixth year as a Senior Team Lead specializing in supporting special education teachers. Jennifer is currently a mentor to new to the district Senior Team Leads and was a Thrive Fellow for DPS from 2019-2020. Jennifer is passionate about working with and being silly with all students, but is especially driven to work with unique learners. She is excited to join the Izzy B community! Jennifer is a widow and mom to two sons, a 9 year old and 13 year old. When not working, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her sons, her partner Marc, weight lifting, listening to music, and training her cat Moira to run on the treadmill.
