Melissa Tugsal is so excited to become part of the Izzi B staff! She has been an Izzi B parent for 5 years with her oldest son Demir who is currently in 4th grade, Ezer who is in 1st grade and this year, her youngest will be in ECE at Izzi B! She currently serves as the VP of Family Engagement for the school and has been a part of our fundraising committee the past few years as well. She has gotten to know so many Izzi B families and cannot wait to be there for each and every one of you this year!
Before joining the Izzi B community she studied Tourism, Convention and Event Management with a focus on Cultural Heritage Tourism and has a passion for non-profit events. She has always been in childcare in some capacity from serving children with developmental, behavioral and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting, nannying, and for the past 10 years running an in-home daycare while raising her own boy crew.
Outside of work you can find her at one of her boys’ many activities, on an adventure with the family, or planning their next trip! Her husband Umut is originally from Turkey, so they have the pleasure of going back annually to see the family and continue their adventures abroad!
